Installation Guide

Follow these steps to get Astro Cape working

Step 1: Install Client

Install OptiFine or a compatible mod to see capes

Step 2: Link Account

Connect to our server to link your account

Install a Cape Client

You need OptiFine or a compatible mod to see capes in Minecraft. Choose one of these methods:

What do I need?

Astro Cape works with OptiFine, Lunar Client, Feather Client, and any client that supports OptiFine capes.

Method 1: OptiFine (Recommended)

  • Download OptiFine

    Go to optifine.net/downloads and download the version for your Minecraft

  • Install OptiFine

    Double-click the downloaded .jar file and click Install

  • Launch Minecraft

    Select the OptiFine profile in your launcher and start the game

Method 2: Lunar Client / Feather Client

  • Download your client

    Lunar Client: lunarclient.com
    Feather Client: feathermc.com

  • Install and launch

    These clients have OptiFine built-in, so capes work automatically!

Method 3: Fabric/Forge Mod

  • Install Fabric or Forge

    Download from fabricmc.net or minecraftforge.net

  • Download OptiFabric or OptiFine mod

    For Fabric: Get OptiFabric from CurseForge
    For Forge: OptiFine works directly as a mod

  • Place in mods folder

    Put the .jar files in your .minecraft/mods folder

Once you have a cape-compatible client installed, click "Step 2: Link Account" above to link your Minecraft account!

Link Your Account

Connect to our Minecraft server to get your verification code and link your account.

How it works

When you connect to our server, you'll be kicked with a verification code. Use this code on Discord to link your account and choose your cape!

Linking Steps

  • Open Minecraft 1.8-1.21.1 or earlier

    Launch Minecraft with OptiFine or a compatible client (1.8-1.21.1)

  • Add Server

    Add a new server with this address:

    mc.astrocape.fr
  • Connect to Server

    Join the server - you'll be kicked with a verification code like "ABC123"

  • Join Discord

    Join our Discord server if you haven't already

  • Link with Code

    In Discord, type:

    !link YOUR_CODE

    Replace YOUR_CODE with the code you received

  • Choose Your Cape

    Use Discord commands to set your cape:

    !list capes (see all capes)
    !use capes cape_name (equip your cape)
    !info (check your current cape)

You're Done!

Your cape will now be visible in Minecraft on ANY version! Use !commands on Discord to see all available commands.
